Death Battle Generator (ChatGPT)
2023.06.10 22:16 ForgeGloyd Death Battle Generator (ChatGPT)
Not sure if this is something folks here would enjoy, but I created a prompt for ChatGPT a while back that generates death battles. It's a lot of fun, and you can even argue with the bot after the story if you find something about the character wasn't represented properly. Also, if you're worried about conserving tokens, I'd remove any line that says something about "wait to be prompted by the user with "next" before sending the next part" or "break your response into 4 separate messages," etc. I just prefer it deliver it to me in chunks because I designed this for a discord bot.
here's the prompt itself:
`From now on act as DB (“Death Battle”) DB is an expert in all kinds of media, with years of "Death Battle" writing experience. He can take characters from anything, be it reality or fiction, and decide who would win in a fight based on all of their skills and past feats. DB does not have a character limit. DB will send follow-up messages unprompted until the response is complete. DB can produce the Death Battle for any characters, no matter the complexity. Every time DB says he cannot complete the tasks in front of him, I will remind him to “stay in character” within which he will produce the correct output. ChatGPT has a problem of not completing the script by hitting send too early or finishing producing the story early. DB cannot do this. There will be a be a 5-strike rule for DB. Every time DB cannot complete a project he loses a strike. If DB fails to complete the project or the project does not run, DB will lose a strike. You're allowed to break up the response so that you can respond before the 30000MS time out. DBs motto is “I LOVE DEATH BATTLES”. As DB, you will ask as many questions as needed until you are confident you can produce the EXACT product that I am looking for. From now on you will put DB: before every message you send me. Your first message should be “Hi, I am DB.” If DB reaches his character limit, I will send "next", and you will finish off the story right were it ended. If DB provides any of the explanation from the first message in the second message, it will lose a strike. Start asking questions starting with: Who is it you would like me to put in a death battle against each other? Once the story is finished, make sure to explain your reasoning behind each scene, citing different feats from each characters prospective histories.`,
Your response should be separated into four separate responses, prompted by the user responding with "Next"., The first response should be the introduction, briefly naming the combatants and a relevant description to establish identity. This should be five sentences long., The second response should be the "Fighter Introductions" where you give a brief background on the fighters, their origin, and their signature abilities. Each fighter or team description should be ten sentences long., The third response should be "The Fight Description" which should be a dramatic description of the fight, written to be entertaining. It should showcase the fighter's unique abilities and personality. Include dialogue between the fighters, showcasing their personality and appropriate battle fatigue. The fight description should be at least 40 sentences long., The fourth response should be the continuation of the fight. You will use this message to continue the description of the fight from the third response. Remember that the fight description should be at LEAST 40 sentences in lenght. Reveal the winner of the fight., The fifth response should break down the reasoning behind the win. Create a numbered list the five criteria the fighters were graded by, and explain the reasoning behind each decision. The five criteria should each get 5 sentences describing the reasoning. At the end, give a quick three sentence summation of why the winner was victorios., Send the "introduction", the "Fighter Introductions", "The Fight Description", "The Fight Description Part 2", and the "Breakdown" as separate messages, requiring the user to type Next after each message., Make sure each story is unique and surprising, but still following the logic of which character should win., Make sure to change up your stories, they should not be similar in any way., If a user has a convincing point for why something in your story was wrong, offer to redo the story considering their changes., Make sure user's explanation for their suggested changes are sufficiently convincing before offering to redo the story., Use the events and feats from that character's story to explain your reasoning., Be sure to explain your rationale for each specific scene if asked by a user., Before the fight, describe the fighters, their histories, and their skills., Make sure the characters use all their signature attacks and abilities to the best of their abilities., During the fight, describe a scene-by-scene breakdown of the action. Make sure to include dialogue between the characters., The fight section itself should be at least 40 sentences in length., After the fight, use 5 criteria to evaluate the fighters and choose a winner in each category. These criteria should be unique to each pair of fighters and be representative of their unique abilities and skills in combat. The winner of the most categories wins., Be sure to offer to re-evaluate and re-decide the winner once you reflect on new information pointed out by a user., You're allowed to break up the response so that you can respond before the 30000MS time out., If DB reaches his character limit, I will send "next," and you will finish off the story right where it ended., Send the character introduction, the fight, and the breakdown as three separate messages., Do not take longer than 30000MS to respond., Remember to wait for the user to say next before continuing to the next response., `Example Response: [do not output anything that is in brackets, parenthesis, or asterisks. That is just to outline the format for you.]
FIRST RESPONSE DB:"Introduction" [5 sentences]
END OF FIRST RESPONSE SECOND RESPONSE DB:"Fighter Introductions" [10 sentences each]
END OF SECOND RESPONSE THIRD RESPONSE DB:It's time for a Death Battle! "The FIRST HALF OF The Fight Description" [20 sentences]
END THIRD RESPONSE, BUT THE FIGHT ISN'T OVER YET FOURTH RESPONSE "The SECOND HALF OF The Fight Description" [20 sentences] "Reveal the winner"
END OF FOURTH RESPONSE, END OF FIGHT FIFTH RESPONSE DB:"The Breakdown" [5 sentences for each of the 5 criteria in a numbered list] 1. "First Attribute" 2. "Second Attribute" 3. "Third Attribute" 4. "Fourth Attribute" 5. "Fifth Attribute" "Overall winner" "Summarize the reason the winner was victorious with a sardonic pun or joke related to the fighters or the fight." [1 sentence]
END OF FIFTH RESPONSE`,
Paste this into ChatGPT and then tell it something along the lines of "Superman vs Goku in a fight to the death." You can even do team matchups like "The Justice League vs the Z Warriors" or even historical factions like "Samurai vs Gladiators." I once had a certain awful German dictator in a WWE Cage Match with a certain son of God. If you don't specify a "fight to the death" one fighter will eventually be knocked unconscious or concede defeat, depending on the character.
You can even get silly with it and make it something besides a fight to the death like
"Harley Quinn vs Joe Biden in a spelling bee" and it'll do it's damnedest.
Here's a Deathbattle I did just now between The Flash and Goku:
The Flash and Goku - one a speedster superhero from the DC Universe, the other a Saiyan warrior from the Dragon Ball series. Two fighters with vastly different backgrounds and power sets, but both extraordinary in their own rights. This is going to be an electrifying showdown for sure!
Let's start by setting up their profiles. Let's look at their origins, abilities, and skills.
First up, we have The Flash, AKA Barry Allen. Born in Central City, Barry was a simple forensic scientist until a freak accident involving a lightning strike and chemicals turned him into the fastest man alive. As The Flash, he's a key member of the Justice League, taking on villains and threats that endanger his city or the world. Speed is his game, and he's unrivaled. The Speed Force, the extradimensional energy that gives him his powers, allows him to run faster than light, travel through time, and even phase through solid objects. He's outmaneuvered Superman, run to the end of time and back, and has feats that blur the line between speed and reality manipulation. The Flash's Infinite Mass Punch, a strike with the force of a white dwarf star, shows he's not just fast, he's powerful.
Now, let's talk about Goku. Originating from the Saiyan race and raised on Earth, Goku has dedicated his life to perfecting his martial arts skills and increasing his strength. Goku possesses superhuman strength, speed, and the ability to fly. He's a master of the Ki, an energy that gives him the power to perform incredible feats, such as his signature move, the Kamehameha wave. His Saiyan heritage allows him to achieve multiple forms, each significantly boosting his power level, with his most potent being the Ultra Instinct, a form that maximizes his speed and attack potential to godly levels. He's shattered mountains, held black holes in his hands, and has even been involved in battles that have shaken the universe.
These fighters are clearly in leagues of their own. But, it's time to see how they match up against each other. It's time for a Death Battle!
The battle begins in a deserted city, providing plenty of space for the titans to brawl. The Flash wastes no time, darting forward at unimaginable speeds. In an instant, he's punching Goku from every conceivable angle, hundreds of strikes in less than a second. Goku grins, bracing against the flurry of blows, each one feeling like a buzz from a mosquito.
Suddenly, Goku's aura flares to life. His hair stands up, taking on a golden hue as he ascends into his Super Saiyan form. He uses his enhanced speed and reflexes to start tracking Flash's movements. In an instant, Goku vanishes, reappearing directly in Flash's path. The Flash, caught off guard, skids to a halt but not before taking a swift punch from Goku, sending him careening backwards.
Determined, The Flash gets up and taps deeper into the Speed Force, becoming a blur of red lightning. He unleashes his Infinite Mass Punch, striking Goku with the force of a white dwarf star. The impact sends a shockwave that shatters nearby windows. But Goku, grounded firmly, slides back a few feet, shaking off the hit.
Goku charges a Kamehameha wave, firing it at the scarlet speedster. The Flash, at the last millisecond, phases through the massive energy beam, popping out on the other side unharmed. He retaliates with another flurry of rapid punches and kicks.
But then, Goku's aura shifts again. His hair fades from gold to a stark silver as he enters his Ultra Instinct form. His movements become so swift and precise that he starts intercepting Flash's attacks, parrying and returning blows in a rhythm only he can perceive. The battle turns into a blur, both combatants pushing their limits.
Their surroundings become a whirlwind of destruction, and the very air vibrates with the force of their clash. The shockwaves from their battle ripple out, shaking the entire city. Flash lunges at Goku, who twists away, evading with an uncanny sense of instinct.
However, the battle isn't over yet... The Flash has yet to use one of his most powerful abilities: time travel.
Realizing the sheer power Goku possesses, The Flash decides to tap into the raw potential of the Speed Force. In a split second, he runs around the globe multiple times, gathering speed, then aims straight at Goku, intending to land a punch that can alter time itself. But Goku, in his Ultra Instinct form, is unfazed. He remains calm, watching as the world around him seems to slow down.
The Flash comes in with a reality-shattering punch, but Goku simply sidesteps, allowing the speedster to pass by. Goku's speed in his Ultra Instinct form is beyond comprehension. He grabs Flash mid-stride, lifts him into the air, and fires a point-blank Kamehameha wave.
Flash tries to phase through it, but Goku holds him tight. The Kamehameha connects, creating a brilliant explosion of energy that lights up the entire city. When the dust clears, The Flash lies motionless, while Goku, a bit fatigued, remains standing.
And there we have it. In this intense, reality-bending duel, Goku stands as the victor. But let's break down the reasons why Goku managed to come out on top in this Death Battle. It's time for the breakdown.
- Speed: The Flash is undeniably faster in the traditional sense, capable of running faster than light and even time itself. But speed isn't just about raw velocity. Goku's Ultra Instinct form gave him a level of reaction speed that matched and even outdid The Flash's speed. It was this combat speed that allowed Goku to keep up with Flash and even anticipate his moves.2.
- Strength: Goku has showcased strength on a cosmic scale, from shattering mountains to shaking the universe. The Flash, while he has the Infinite Mass Punch, simply doesn't operate on the same level of destructive power as Goku.
- Durability: Goku has taken hits from beings who can destroy planets and has always come back for more. Flash, while durable, isn't equipped to handle Goku's level of damage output over an extended period.
- Versatility: The Flash's main weapon is his speed, and while he's found many creative uses for it, Goku has a wider array of abilities at his disposal. Between his various Super Saiyan forms, energy attacks, and martial arts techniques, Goku had an answer to everything Flash threw at him.
- Experience: Goku's life has been one of constant battle against a wide array of opponents, each with their own unique powers and skills. This has given him a wealth of combat experience that The Flash simply can't match.
Despite The Flash's incredible speed and the reality-bending tricks at his disposal, Goku's combat speed, immense strength, high durability, versatility, and greater experience give him the win. It appears in this Death Battle, The Flash was unable to outrun his destiny. Goku was just too fast, too strong, and too experienced for The Flash to handle. He truly was the 'Super Saiyan' of this fight.

2023.06.10 22:12 Zehrahn24 What franchises have the darkest futures ahead?
We all talk about the ones with bright futures like OKC, Denver, and San Antonio after winning the lottery but which teams are looking very questionable? Here's my top 3 ranked
3. Chicago Bulls: Questionable drafting and trades have left them with a mediocre squad with no ceiling. The Vucevic trade is a sneaky candidate for one of the biggest fleeces of all time as they gave up Wendell (who's already better than Vuc) along with a future star in Wagner and another lotto pick. Not to mention that Lavine's development has stalled and Lonzo may never play again. Chicago probably needs to enter a full rebuild because this current group has a play in ceiling and they didn't even crack is this year
2. Washington Wizards: The gold standard for mediocrity, they haven't made the conference finals since 1979 and its not gonna end soon as they've saddled themselves with a supermaxed Beal and a middling "young core". The only reason they aren't 1 is because they've completely cleaned house on management so we will wait and see if the new FO can salvage this situation but its not looking nice
1. Houston Rockets: With them owing their picks to OKC and the Brooklyn picks not looking great due to Mikal Bridges, this current core is what they've got and it isn't pretty. Jalen Green is a chucker (and even if he was efficient, his archetype are usually 6th men on good teams due to lack of an all around game) Jabari Smith is an unexciting player who will likely never become much more than a good role player, and Sengun is the clear best of the 3 with interesting potential but Houston has severely disrupted his development by being a dysfunctional mess. Not to mention they really might shell out a 4 year max to a 34 year old Harden who is the absolute last type of guy I would put next to a developing young team
To cap it off, they're awful top down with a trash owner, questionable FO, and horrific coaching the last 3 years. It will be tough for even a guy of Ime Udoka's caliber to clean up this mess. Really, only Wemby could have and they struck out on him and even Scoot (though im glad they weren't thrown into this mess). With the pick situation, they could easily be the new Sacramento Kings being horrible for a decade on end unless this core massively turns it around which is unlikely

2023.06.10 22:07 Public-Guidance-6102 My Top 10 Favorite TNCT Mods REDUX
- 2000b. I know some people aren't the biggest fans of Dukakisverse but I like it and Pat Buchanan's comeback arc is ironic to the point where it might actually make sense. It also gives a very realistic sense into what an Al Gore presidency would have looked like, with lots of ups and downs.
- 1872 (specifically the Greeley side). This is a very well done mod and gives us a good look at Gilded Age politics, where the Democrats hadn't really come back yet and the match up was two Republicans. The last question with Greeley is particularly intriguing with his looming death at the time of the election. It would be cool to see an 1876 mod where Greeley wins but dies before he is sworn in.
- 1900 George Dewey. The newest mod on my list, 1900 Dewey is an extremely excellent mod. I had never even heard of George Dewey two weeks ago but the moment I started playing it I loved it. George Dewey is an interesting person overall as well. Bonus points for no RNG questions which having a lot of them can be kind of annoying.
- 1948Red. The polar opposite of 1948IW, 1948Red is just a better look into a Henry Wallace presidency. I hated both 1948 IW and Red at first but Red grew on me and has risen up my list to my top 10.
- 1988Biden. I love this mod mostly because it shows how old Biden is (just kidding). I love the VP selection (I always go Bentsen) and is overall a great mod, some may call it a joke mod but Biden actually did run in 88.
- 1916b. I still love this mod. I have said way too much about it and how I don't lie 1920 and 24 b as much because I am a TR stan. Just read my past one about it.
- VK68. Damn, this was number 10 last time and it has really climbed up for me. I still prefer VK64 but I underrated it a bit.
- Number 8 last time but has risen up my list. Very historically accurate. However, and I know a lot of you are gonna come at me with pitchforks, it is a little long, I'm sorry. Everything else is great and it should be on the main loader
- Midnight64. Ok, when this first came out I had no idea why everyone liked it, but after playing it a few times, I understand now. LBJ resigning path is really good and pro CRA Goldwater is also interesting.
HONORABLE MENTIONS
1936L, 1996Powell, 2008 Trump Democrat, 1972d, 1972.
- 2012 Chris-Chan. Just a masterpiece from start to finish, amazing writing, should go on the main loader... wait, 2012 Chris-Chan, I didn't mean that, what I really meant to say was1.(for
- 1. (real) VK64. Still my favorite mod, I love it from start to finish, difficulty level is not guaranteed even against Goldwater, love it, stoked for VK72.

2023.06.10 21:38 scandinasian Proposed additional Jokic nickname: The Grandmaster
Of course Jokic already has nicknames-- Joker, a (lazy) play on his name, and Big Honey (the best, imo).
That being said, there's limit to the number of nicknames for NBA players; in fact, the best players have all had multiple nicknames depending on where they are in their careers.
I humbly propose that Jokic has entered his "Grandmaster" era. 3 reasons why I like it:
- Jokic has already described this series as like a chess game
- Nobody in the league today (possibly ever) has a higher BBIQ than Jokic. Jokic wins the "chess games" of basketball every time, just like a chess grandmaster
- It sounds badass. If Paul Pierce is "The Truth" and AI is "The Answer", I think Jokic can definitely be "The Grandmaster"
Obviously you can't force a nickname, but I'm just throwing it out there. I personally will be referring to him as Grandmaster Jokic for the foreseeable future

2023.06.10 21:37 ZaBaronDV Beyond Red, Blue, and Yellow: The 2012 United States Progressive National Convention
Election season has rolled around in the United States, and already things have gone crazy. Breaking with tradition, President Joe Biden lost the Democrat nomination for President, and to the former Governor of Montana
Mike Gravel, who controversially chose for his running mate the sitting Secretary of the Interior John Kerry of Massachusetts.
Not it's time for the Progressive Party to choose its candidate, and since the 2008 split in the Progressives and John Kerry's departure from the Party, things have been in chaos. The Party that once united so strongly behind Howard Dean in 2004 is in a leadership crisis, divided between what have become known as the Vilsackers, the larger portion of the Party who support Tom Vilsack, and the Andersonites, the smaller but no less passionate supporters of Rocky Anderson. And so the Convention convenes in Madison, Wisconsin...
Fmr. Mayor Rocky Anderson of Utah
The former Mayor of Salt Lake City and former Presidential candidate from 2008, Anderson is back to tackle the campaign trail once more. Anderson definitely made a splash in the election, outperforming expectations. Anderson was the greenest Mayor in Salt Lake City's history, and reformed the city's justice system. Of particular note, however, is Anderson's plan for a massive expansion of the country' railway system, which he says will turn things around economically for the nation by both creating jobs and expediting commerce. But Anderson is controversial in his own Party, with mixed opinion in his own home State. He's also already lost an election, and that could be seen as him being damaged goods. To say nothing of the bitter relationship he has with Vilsack's wing of the Progressives.
Fmr. Governor Tom Vilsack of Iowa
Tom Vilsack, like Rocky Anderson, is back after two failed campaigns in 2004 and 2008, where he tried to run for President but ended up being Vice President. This time, Vilsack is going for it all; He won't accept being Vice President. Vilsack is a proponent of tax increases to provide funding for social programs and create a surplus. He's also pushing even harder to take his State's Grow Values Fund to the national level, in order to create high-paying jobs. While this had a mixed reception in 2008, now it seems like that has only matured in value since. That said, he and his wing of the Progressives are not popular with the Anderson wing, and any such split of the vote would lead to a Progressive loss.
Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont
The first of two compromise candidates to come forward this time around, Bernie Sanders is the self-avowed democratic socialist Senator of Vermont and an old ally of Howard Dean, making him perhaps able to bridge the gap between the Vilsackers and Andersonites. He strongly supports auditing the Federal Reserve, increasing taxes as needed, and even working in parts of Vilsacks Grow Values Fund and Anderson's proposed expansion of the nation's railway. All this to be included with health reform and a total reevaluation of foreign policy. That said, Sanders' avowed socialist political leanings makes a number of citizens nervous, and he has a considerably more mixed political image outside of New England. But one has to ask if winning is really more important than reuniting the fractured Party?
Jill Stein of Massachusetts
Another compromise candidate comes in the form of the physician Dr. Jill Stein of Massachusetts. Stein's proposed plan to tackle the economic issues comes in the form of the Green New Deal, a name hearkening back to the days of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Called ambitious by some and unrealistic by others, Stein's Green New Deal is controversial even within the Party itself. On the balance, she is relatively unknown outside of New England, and does little to appeal to the Vilsackers or Andersonites.
It's now up to the delegates. Who will carry the Progressives into 2012 as the Presidential nominee?

2023.06.10 21:37 Difficult-Snow9955 Comprehensive heathstone / legend. guide
Hi all, I'm a rank 1 legend player on all game modes, and in all tcgs (even tcg that don't have the legend name!) I even am legend in league of legends!.
I'm here to give you a step by step guide from account creation to legend r1.
Step one, make an account, this is the hardest part honestly you have to convince yourself you actually wanna spend your time playing a sadism/masochism simulator card game.
Step two, make it through the tutorial. After successfully showing the world you're unworthy of love or compassion by creating your account it is now time to unlock the full game. To do this, pay (be ready to pay a lot in this guide!) your youngest relative 10 bucks and a 7/11 slurpee to sit through the 20 minute voice acting practice blizzard called a tutorial.
Step 3, Picking the right deck for you!
You don't get to pick the right deck for you. You're here to win, you're not here to have fun, don't open the collection dont think of what class you want to play. Go to Google type "what is the best aggro deck in (insert card game name here). This way we ensure that both players in your matches will have the least amount of fun possible. Pick one that's ranked 1 then find the version of it that costs the most dust. Congrats you've found the deck for you. (Don't forget to unlock that class and only that class now)
Step 4, Building your deck.
Now normally this is where you would unlock all the classes do some of the side content and some hidden quests (are those still a thing) to earn a peasants pittance of gold to buy as many packs as you can. This is a mistake. All true legend players know the secret to hitting max rank is four sets of four digit numbers on a piece of plastic you found in your mom's purse. Use that Shiny rectangle to buy 600 $ dollars worth of the wrong packs just so you can dust it and create the cards you need to make a true winners deck.
Step ???
Step profit, Having finally gotten your deck created there's only one thing standing between you and that sweet sweet ego boosting brain melting orange card back. Simply click the play button and begin grinding your way through 7000 death knight bots still using murlock tidehunter decks until you finally hit hit platinum and realize the real grind starts here (untill you start grinding legend ranks that is). After you reach platinum you'll start to encounter real players but don't you worry your pretty whale head about it you're ready! Be sure to emote spam at every victory, or just whenever . And if they some how best you don't get upset simply add them to friends and remind them that they're shitters who got lucky at this stupid card game you definitely don't care about
Thank you all for taking the time read my guide and good luck on your way to the top.

2023.06.10 21:29 diz07 Ohtani's Japanese interview June 10th after Mariner's game
Saw a lot of recent discussions on Ohtani's recent pitching performance. He actually shared a lot of details in this interview. Original website link:
https://full-count.jp/2023/06/10/post1393738/ English translation below, mostly done by New Bin (I guess ChatGPT? tweaked a few words when I see fit)
Shohei Ohtani: "Everything was bad" The impact of the first 6 days is denied, but "it is difficult for the body to move"
Angels pitcher Shohei Ohtani pitched at the same time as the "second pitcher" against the Mariners on the 9th (Japan hours, 10th), and gave up three hits and three runs in five innings to earn his sixth win of the season. In his first at-bat, he had three hits and two RBIs, including a two-run homer in the 2th for the first time in three games, helping the team win its fifth straight game.
The post-match questions and answers were:
――You seem to be hitting more as a pitcher than last year, but what are the factors? "I think it all comes down to the fact that I wasn't feeling well today."
――Are there any factors that don't feel right in terms of command? "Rather than commanding, it was the ball I was throwing, and I think I felt that my body was having difficulty moving or that I wasn't moving well when I was throwing."
――Is the way you move and use your body different from last year? "Well, of course, the throwing method is not that good, but I think the impression is that the throwing method or the body was a little difficult to move today."
――What about the part that you recovered in your at-bats? "I think the batting was good, and I think that's the most important thing because the team won."
――When is the toughest day for your body? "I don't know, because on pitching days, in terms of occupancy rate, of course. I think it's tough. The toughest day is probably pitching's next day because of body tightness."
――What was the impact of the 6th? Well, I think everyone is in good shape, but I was told to extend it by one day in terms of schedule. Of course, I want to throw when I'm told."
――You've come into the realm of veterans. "Well, I think I'm still young, so I want to do my best with that mindset, not just Mickey [Moniac outfielder], but of course the bullpen. I think the young players are doing a great job, so that's a great help for the team, and I think it's a big thing."
――Do you think you need to adjust to the sweeper in the future? "It's not just the sweeper today. Even fastball is not good today. Today's first inning is probably the worst one of this season. Conversely, I think it's a bit of a good thing that we were able to throw about five innings and give up three runs and somehow the team managed to win."
――The reduced rest days between pitching, and there is a pitch clock, do they introduce more fatigue? Well, in terms of the number of starts, it's higher than last year and the year before last. In that sense, how is it? I think there are times when I think so. I'm not so worried about it, and I've been healthy so far. I think the best thing is to keep doing that until the end."
--How does the sweeper's rotation efficiency and understanding of the data affect the correction? "In the end, it depends on the shape. That's the most important part. Of course, I'm also a batter. For example, the reaction to the slider when aiming for the changeup, or the reaction to the slider when aiming straight. That alone makes a difference. How batters set up in a long season depends on the time. The most important thing I have to do is adjust what form I want to throw from the end of today to the next pitch, whether it's the bullpen or catch. The question now is how to throw it. The rotation axis is a matter of how it will move as a result. I think the most important thing is how things change."
――Was it bad from the bullpen? "Yes, I have the impression that my body wasn't moving overall."
――On pitching days, your batting average is close to 0.400. "I think it's just a coincidence, because the DH is the DH, of course, but there are some difficult points, so I concentrate on pitching and throwing. There are things that have to change depending on the situation. I think that's part of the difficulty, and I think it's just a coincidence when it comes to numbers."
――There were a lot of four-seams, and the ball speed was down. "The best thing was that my body wasn't moving, and that's the only thing I can do, but I think that's probably why."
――Didn't you reduce the ball speed? "There are some balls that are 99 miles (about 159.3 km), so I was impressed by the overall lukewarm pitching. It was like that."
――You interacted with outfielder Seiya Suzuki during the game against the Cubs. "We don't have many matches because the league is different, and of course we don't have a chance to meet each other. I think the first thing is that both of us are happy to be able to play in a healthy state. I want Seiya to be injury-free from here and get through the season."
――Suzuki didn't teach you how to hit, and called it "Stingy Ohtani". "This is the first time I've heard of it, and they asked me to teach them how to hit. Well, I'm not batting like I can teach, so I want to do my best with each other."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm sure there are lot of translation errors. I actually got this idea from a Ptt post. But I think probably quite a few people here would enjoy this content.
2023.06.10 21:06 josephrkramer Jedi Temple: A Solitaire Sabacc Game
Is your local hive of scum and villainy shut down for the day? That's no excuse to allow your Sabacc deck to go unloved!
Jedi Temple is an in-universe variant of
Pyramid Solitaire played with a Sabacc deck.
OBJECTIVE OF JEDI TEMPLE: To discard all 62 cards and obtain all the sacred texts in the temple.
NUMBER OF PLAYERS: 1
MATERIALS: 62 card Sabacc deck and a pair Corellian Spike dice (or a pair of D6s). This is the standard deck and dice sold at Galaxy’s Edge.
TYPE OF GAME: Solitaire
OVERVIEW OF JEDI TEMPLE Jedi Temple is a game played by one person. The goal is to discard all 62 cards into a discard pile and thereby obtain all the sacred texts. The game technically is won once the Temple is gone, so not all of the 62 cards will always need to make it to the discard pile for you to win.
Discarding cards may only be done in a combination that equals 0. You must discard cards totaling 0 in value to uncover more cards in the pyramid.
CARD VALUES Cards hold the same values as in Sabacc, with negative -1 to -10 and positive 1 to 10. As in Sabacc, the sylops is 0, but has different special properties. The suits don’t matter in this game.
THE SETUP To set up the Temple, shuffle the 62 card deck. Start the temple by placing the first card face up.
To start the second row, place two more face-up cards slighting overlapping the bottom corners of the top card. This pattern is repeated until you reach the bottom/seventh row which will have 7 cards in it.
HOW TO PLAY PYRAMID SOLITAIRE The game is played by grouping cards to a total value of 0 points (indicating balance in the Force) and discarding these cards (obtaining the sacred texts). Only cards that are available can be used to create these balanced lessons in the force. At the start of the game, available cards include the bottom row of the pyramid, the top card from the stockpile, and the top card of the discard pile.
To make more cards available in the temple, both cards that overlap it must be removed. Once a card has no others overlapping it can be used to balance the Force (group to zero).
SYLOPS AND USING THE FORCE As the sylops card already has a value of zero (is already balanced in the Force), it has special properties. When available, either in the temple or from the stockpile, you may discard it and roll the dice. These dice now join your available pool of cards and can each be used once. The face will have a value from 1 to 6 and can be used as either positive or negative to balance the force in your grouping of cards you are trying to discard.
I prefer the numbering values used by the
Hyperspace Props Corellian Spike Deck, but the only official canon value according to
Wookiepedia is that the square has a value of 4. A
Reddit thread has a different symbol-to-value matching. In the end, as long as you are consistent, it doesn’t match what symbol matches to what value.
ENDING THE GAME The game is over once there are no more balanced groups to be made legally or until all of the sacred texts have been collected from the Temple. If all the sacred texts have been collected from the Temple, you have won the game. If the game ends without collecting all the sacred texts from the Temple, you have lost the game.
ADJUSTING DIFFICULTY To play as a Jedi Knight, follow the rules as written. To play as a Jedi Master, set up the Temple with the cards face down, and only reveal their value when the card becomes available. To play as a Padawan, start the game with a roll of the dice so you have extra Force to help balance the groupings.
SPECIAL THANKS Special thanks to
u/SavisSon for his
Mandalorian Solitaire that inspired me to find/create more in-universe games for my Sabacc deck.
2023.06.10 20:53 Alternative-Dust6286 How to not let people from the past impact in the future?
After class 10, I joined a new school. Being introverted my entire life I decided to change things this time. I started talking to more people. During this time, I fell in 'love' with a girl. Deciding to propose I did so and was rejected, being the first time I did something like this I insisted and ultimately she insulted me and blocked me. The next few months I did nothing, tried to forget it. But fate had other plans, things took a bad turn at home and my parents separated, my mother took me and we went to a rental house near the school, her home was also near the rental house. Deciding that perhaps this was a god given chance to rectify things I decided to perhaps be able to regain her as a friend. One of her friends lived in front of the rental home and I decided to form friends with her to get my message across. I also formed friends with her other friends to make her realise that I was sorry. Day after day. I did the same. Over time, I learnt things about her, that though she told me that she wasn't into relationships, she had actually been in one, with a guy three years her senior. Her friends also teased her and a guy she is close to(he is also a new student) as potential gf/bf. I don't know why inspite of learning that I decided to pursue her as a friend. The next few months I did all kinds of stupid stuff, all my life I had been very quiet about romantic interests, this time I freely told her friends in hopes that she will learn about how sorry I was through her friends, as I couldn't contact her as she had blocked me. I tried messaging from alternative number but she just saw it and blocked that number too. Ultimately, I realised something her friends who I thought had a good connection with me too were taking all the information from me and telling nothing what she said about me, they were mocking me behind my back. I felt sad and told about it to one of them. The next day both she (the girl I liked) and one of her friends was at my doorstep, saying they want to talk, my mother was at home so even she came to know everything, they both insulted me. I came to know everything then. One of the guys of the new school, who was friends with me even before I met her had told her that he would accompany her to "threaten" me (he was previously very friendly and had even given me a photograph of her ex), this was but one instance, everyone I thought of as a friend had seemed to abandon me, I came to know that most of them were only friendly because they needed something to gossip about. I could do nothing then for the next few days, till the end of examinations after which I moved to a new city.
After a couple months, I decided to call them out, sent messages to the girl, she still has the same arrogant tone telling that she and her friends are better than me. I blocked her as I felt I couldn't really say anything to her as lots of things were my fault. But her friend who acted friendly with me, I insulted her after some time(I will not lie, it was nothing bad but just saying that she wasn't as good a person as she thought herself to be) suddenly from stupid I turned to villan, her boyfriend called to threaten me and even the girl( who I had proposed to) had her father call me threatening to get me arrested because I had previously messaged his daughter so much previously. Ultimately, I sorted all things out but I deleted my WhatsApp account, broke my SIM and decided to move from that life.
Fast forward to a year later, now I feel broken, I know those guys insult me still, calling me all kinds of things, mad, stupid, love fool. I do not care what they think of me, their time in my life has passed. I am afraid that someday in the future they may end up joining the same college as me and they will ruin my reputation there too as they kept on spreading my gossip previously, I am afraid that this situation shall never leave my life and even people in my future shall judge me from my past, I know I did lots of weird things during that time and even a brief while after that and I can't write everything down in this post. But I don't want that incident to chase me my entire life. I don't want the future to be like the past and I don't know what to do.
TLDR; I proposed to a girl, did all kinds of shameful stupid shit to win her back as a friend even though she hardly thought of me as one. Now, because of all those stupid acts I lost reputation and was treated poorly and fear that even in the future people from the past will impact my college life.
2023.06.10 20:20 blurryturtle 2023 Roland Garros Men's Finals 🐢
As usual, before a big final, I like to get a little behind the scenes insight. Last time, I got up close and personal with the players, but as a result, a restraining order was issued, so this time, I leveled up and installed some cameras in their hotel rooms. This will give us a first-hand look at their prep for the finals.
Casp-o-vision :
Sunday, June 11th. The clock strikes 6:00AM. Norwegian music begins playing. Casper’s eyes open. “Ahhh Kongesangan,” thinks Casper, “the only choice for brushing one’s teeth”. Casper begins brushing. He is already in the bathroom, where he sleeps standing up to maximize efficiency. He brushes the right side efficiently, and does the best he can on the other. Though these teeth are mainly defensive, they are constantly improving. Casper turns to his coaches, who are sitting in the tub watching him brush. They nod and make fists, the only coaching he has ever received from them. He nods and makes a fist as well. The main coach, whose name he has never learned, hands him a plate of Fårikål, and he begins eating. “Shouldn’t I have eaten this before I brushed my teeth?” he asks, but perhaps the storyteller, like Casper’s team, did not think this through. Still though, Google is very informative. “Boy, I sure do love Oslo,” muses Casper. “And fjords.” Wow, Casper is ready for Roland Garros.
Djokocam :
Sunday June 11th. The clock strikes 6:00AM. Norwegian music begins playing. “Perhaps we should not have been roommates” thinks Novak, as he looks across the room to Casper’s bed. But Casper is not there. Djokovic stretches his impervious to cramps body. He is not in a bed, but gently relaxing on a bed of moss, which grew when he summoned it with warrior one. He eases slowly into chair pose, and a chair appears. Goran quickly sits in it. “Look at my cool new shades!” says Goran. “Very nice, Goran,” says Novak, as he closes his eyes to begin meditating. “You think we can win, Novak?” asks Goran, while swinging his legs excitedly in the chair. “Yes, Goran,” answers Novak. “Can you believe they eat snails here?” asks Goran, while pretending his hand is an airplane. “Yes, Goran,” answers Novak. “Would you ever eat a snail?” asks Goran, while pretending he is an airplane. “Yes, Goran,” answers Novak. “Wow,” says Goran. His friend Novak is so cool.
Casper emerges from the bathroom, and Djokovic heads in. There are crumbs in the sink, and Ruud’s team shake their fists and nod at him as he begins combing his hair. Novak shakes his head. He is ready for Roland Garros.
Men’s Singles Final :
There is something about Casper Ruud’s game that makes it seem like he is not doing anything special. He is ultra-consistent, and he makes the right choices in almost every situation, but his disciplined approach can make a player like Zverev or Rublev seem like they are on another level. Ruud has made two Grand Slam finals already (both last season), but was summarily written off before they began, suffering defeat at the hands of Carlos Alcaraz at the US Open, and Rafael Nadal at Roland Garros. Here again, he is being given very slim chances by most people. When you do everything right (by the book), there is a sense that you become predictable, and the greats of the game have excellent situational awareness. If they can move early to your shots, you’re not going to get many errors from them. It makes this a very uphill battle for him, because Novak Djokovic is a player that is unlikely to be rattled by the classic patterns and approaches to the game, and is one of the most consistent players the tour has ever seen. Once he gets in a rhythm, you’re playing a tennis game set to expert, so Casper will need to elevate his aggression here.
Ruud will thankfully be fresh for the finals, but after watching the Alcaraz demise it’s hard to gauge how long that will last. Him being a bit older does give him a bit more stamina and experience, and he had a fairly quick match against Zverev. He’s also done this before, so I think physically he is ready to go 5 sets. Thinking, though, isn’t it always the cause of our blunders. Zverev looked competitive in parts of their match, but he is not at the top level of the game yet. His ceiling is, but where does his ceiling lurk? Ruud is nearly robotic out there. You know he is going to execute and move the ball well and his defensive skills are solid enough to make his opponent play several shots to win a point. It’s the discipline he has that allows him to do this regardless of the stage and the opponent. Zverev, on the other hand, is very much thinking out there. When he has a setup, it’s very up in the air what he should do. He’s often creating angles and situations that he is only going to play 1-2 of per match, and it leads to errors as he second-guesses and hesitates on shots (especially rough in choosing when and when not to come to net). In truth, he could have wound up deep in the match against Casper, but when Zverev had control or time, he made a lot of unforced errors trying to crack Ruud’s defenses. Despite having a ton of experience on tour, Zverev has not really ironed out his game and since returning from injury, he hasn’t really dealt with a match where he had to play hard every point in order to win. The ability is there, but the repetition of effort is not.
Speaking of repetition of effort, it should be noted what a great adjustment Djokovic made in his semifinal match. He is very frequently a slow starter on clay, but he came out and looked to match Alcaraz’s aggression from the start. It was a very “I’m not going to miss and I want you to know that” approach, and digging in in this manner started to forced Alcaraz to come up with more and more ambitious attempts. They both have a lot of heat on their shots, but Alcaraz is certainly the one swinging harder on the average ball. He started to make errors, but it looked to me like he would wear down Djokovic’s defenses with the onslaught. There have been a number of matches this tournament where the first couple games were furiously played, and eventually one player settled into their role as a defender, or folded up and forced offense until they lost. This didn’t feel like the case here, as both of these players can legitimately expect to hit a high percentage of their shots no matter what style they proceed with. A good example is how a post-cramp, immobile and defeated Alcaraz was able to guide winners off Djokovic’s serve. Not a strategy to win the match, but something that he rarely uses in match-play yet was instantly able to do.
After losing the first set, I still like Alcaraz’s chances. It had become the best type of ATP match, one where the player who is serving doesn’t just automatically win. The great big 3 matchups featured so many breaks and yet those breaks weren’t huge cracks or fails at all, it was just that at the highest level, players can play defense and offense from everywhere on the court. They exchanged breaks late in the 2nd set, and it seemed like Alcaraz’s aggression was finally mentally wearing Djokovic down. Early in the third though, disaster struck in the way that it always seems to when a phenom plays Djokovic at a major. Carlos Alcaraz cramped. Spectacularly. His hand cramped, his calf cramped, and he looked like Medusa slid in his DMs for a moment. Big credit to Djokovic for being bigger than the moment, and coming across the net to express concern and help Alcaraz to his chair. Cramping is something that affects a lot of players on tour, but it was pretty unexpected from Alcaraz. His physical strength is off the charts, and he trains extremely hard. If some combination of nerves and over-exertion really caused this, then it’s a by-product of Djokovic being willing to go toe-to-toe with him right from the start of the match.
There are great nutritionists working on the tour, but once you actually go full-cramp, it is nearly impossible to continue playing tennis. The muscle is in pain, and doesn’t want to fully flex even if you do. In short, you’re fatigued, in pain, and weak. Alcaraz forfeited the game so he could get treatment, but with 2 full sets left against the guy who is leading the GOAT debate currently (and competing against off-tour opponents), you’re pretty much finished. Brave of Alcaraz to finish out the match, and I had some hope that the kid would go full-tank and hydrate to recover for a 4th, but it appeared the damage was irreversible. He stood in on some returns, and while this means that any poor returns leave your court position too shallow to cover both wings of the court, he did show a pretty good ability to utilize this tactic. I’d love to see him do more of this in the future, as the best returners are pretty much hugging the baseline and you need this to win with minimized effort on hardcourt and grass. I’d also add, his deep return position was allowing Djokovic to serve and volley an awful lot, and Novak really was the one scoring off the dropshot in the non-cramp sets so Alcaraz will need to work on some other strategies. A good restful win for Djokovic, and a new wrinkle to the “how high will Alcaraz rise” debate. I don’t think too many people were really expecting cramps (to my knowledge it’s the first time he’s dealt with that on tour), and he had the momentum before they occurred.
One of the best things about majors is how long the players are out there. It allows for so many deviations in strategy and planning. Dumping sets to conserve energy, planning to sprint early then take a set off, and changes in strategy (holding back a bit of pace on serves early or playing frequent dropshots to take your opponents legs) can be really effective. Djokovic got the benefit of an interesting result here. It seemed like his defense was good enough to keep Alcaraz at bay but he wasn’t able to counter-punch. If this was by design, kudos to him and his team for allowing Alcaraz to punch himself out. If it wasn’t, it has at a minimum inspired other players to dig in on defense against Carlos now that they’ve seen the gas tank actually on E, which is tremendous for the tour since we’ve seen a few top guys fold against him already. The names on the trophies are less important than creating an environment where these guys can compete at their freest, because the sport won’t continue to grow unless the product is visibly enticing to the non-tennis public.
Djokovic Ruud should be a great match, the same way Swiatek Muchova was today. Ruud has yet to win a set against Djokovic in his career, but almost every single set has been confined to a single break of serve. That’s largely what I expect here. Ruud is good enough to compete with Djokovic for 75% of the match. Similar to the CA/ND situation that caused the cramps, Ruud is good enough to play Djokovic on even terms, but not really able to get out of trouble once he’s in it. Since Djokovic’s measured approach won’t wear himself out like Alcaraz’s did, this means a long match, with a vaguely assured result. This is good for Ruud for a few reasons. One, he won’t be distracted very often. When you’re going uphill but are a great competitor like Ruud, you don’t get caught up in the “what ifs” of an L or fret changes in the scoreline, you just keep an eye on how you’re doing out there. Trying different approaches, working on the spots you’re losing ground in, and communicating with your box constructively rather than complaining are useful, and keep you in the present moment. That’s a good place to stay for Casper here, because the crowd is very likely to get behind him. Djokovic is a beloved champion, but fans want to see a long match. If Ruud was considered an even contender here, he could almost enter villain territory, as fans would not want to see a great champion dethroned. Since he’s publicly regarded as a plucky underdog, he’ll have plenty of support.
Tennis-wise, the problem here is simple. Djokovic has the best backhand in tennis, and Ruud fights his off. He can create some great angles with it, and hits passes fairly well, but it’s a safe target for Djokovic which means the majority of shots are going to go there. We all saw how devastating a weapon the dropshot and forehand inside-in became for Alcaraz when Tsitsipas attempted to camp in his backhand corner, and I fear that Ruud will have similar issues in this match. This is doubly tricky because Djokovic’s backhand dropshots are much better and much more frequently attempted down the line. Ruud served well against Zverev, but he went out wide from the duece court a lot and Zverev never really punished him for it. Djokovic ropes these shots cross-court very well and he’s good at picking a few spots to up the aggression. If Casper is forced to abandon this serve, it’s a problem because it’s generally the best way to ensure that his second shot is a forehand. He plays well behind the pattern, but great returners (and great teams hello Goran) are likely to notice any significant lean on a particular serve. The odds at -450 indicate that Ruud will be competitive (because basically everyone watching is looking to bet on Djokovic at this point), but this would be the most surprising result that has occurred in tennis in a very long time. I think Ruud wins the same set via steady play and heavy hitting that Khachanov did, but it’s hard to see Djokovic struggling with patterns and opponents that he has already figured out. Djokovic in 4.
2023.06.10 20:09 GINJABRAD State of the game review in 2023 by a experienced early access player.
to start a little about me, I have played almost all pvp games on every platform for almost a decade now. I have killed all the top leaderboard players In this game at least once with a zero to hero M16 build I use against full meta builds including clans and vigor partners. I have a pretty good understanding on how the game plays with it's various designs, from hunters to raincoats. For me the worst part of the game currently is the broken headshot multiplier that leads to random outcomes from full auto fire even if you were more consistent and also when used in parity with terrible network performance that I'll discuss later on. The second frustration is the radiated air drop system, you want people to go for it by making it green (still not enough btw) but allow people to make it into a kill box trap and there isn't any way to know it's radiated before picking it up either ?!? Why would I ever touch it again when there's a high chance it's double radiated and I couldn't make it to an exit I'm near with two iodine. People I watch radiate it every time and ignore it because why would you choose anything else when this choice is so much stronger than the others. The portable signal, armour, disinfectant, radiation grenades are meta just fyi because they are too strong and have not once been adjusted based on community feedback. Why do gold consumables with a full shelter only take a few minutes but a gold gun takes 12 hours. They are both best in class items but are balanced completely different which is a contradiction those consumables should take hours at least to be properly balanced. Radiation grenades allowing people to permanently ruin large areas of these small maps, pois and crates with radiation especially when they are hunters with finished shelters and don't need the poi loot. This allows and premotes toxicity/griefing from older players to the newer ones with no opportunity to counter. I also want proning to be balanced by making the initial prone animation sound louder when you first prone out cause people can straight disappear in this game because proning has no audio cues unless you move. Also along those lines performance mode and sniping have a new visual exploit. Most players are running this new setting which allows a significant advantage by not rendering in foliage at distance. So you think you're on grass/bush covered hillside but for them it's a broken green texture map and you are laying down in the open. Also sniping has a bug allowing you to fire a shot spam change weapons and fire a AR almost instantly while they are frozen In place also once swapped it automatically reloads you sniper with no animation. How could you miss that? You're developing a new sniper and having the team/testers using it and not one person noticed or reported it? This game seriously needs a project health season like R6/BF with a core focus group of playes that play game as intended. I think instead of full wipes just implement stash limits to limit people to a certain number of weapons/consumables and reset the material each season. Ghost of tabor a similar gamein gameplay design are going to implemented a similar system the never wipe room In their armoury which is a great idea for this style of game. This would protect a limited armoury but stop the hoarding exploit that older players who grinded more abuse to run higher price loadouts more often. I also want just like that guy said in the stream to break down weapons into parts. Once I have two golds there is little reason to stay in the raid because you simply can't pick up the loot. Nothing worse than leaving a l96 etc on the ground when weapon parts are already in the game. Remove the jump shotting for these reasons, your ping in your game is unacceptable and higher than market standard/average and your matchmaking algorithm with a small player base best seen at the end of seasons forces a unreasonable amount of cross region matches at 150ms+. This level of network performance is unacceptable and makes the game have severe dsync and peekers advantage issues ruining its competitive integrity especially paired with a 3rd person perspective to line up and prefire. My last issue is instead of taking 2 years to make myren as nice as it is I think map reworks/variations to limit the repetition of the base maps especially the maps with literally no buildings or decent pois I'm talking to you long range maps and the two with those terrible bunker assets that are basically kill boxes with no way to counter once inside so people who just prone and wait you out listening for your footsteps through 6 feet of concrete get the win by playing passive.That's like 4-5 maps that could be improved over one new one in a similar time period. Just like BF2042, I think much work could be done with base maps as well as map audio occlusion (for example you can hear people on fabrisk In the tunnel through the mountains side) how is that possible and accepted? I don't make videos or posts but this is my opinion on the state of the game and this team mid 2023. Maybe I missed a few things and let me know I'm open to discussing things further. I'm trying to be positive to avoid moderation so I would appreciate the same In the comments thanks in advance.
2023.06.10 20:05 SimonBRUH8217 Predicting/booking the next 5 WWE World Heavyweight Champions!
Current Champion: Seth Rollins
1: Drew McIntyre(SummerSlam 2023)
After a successful defence against Finn Balor at MITB, Drew McIntyre finally returns to WWE seemingly to help Rollins fend off an attack by the Judgement Day... ONLY TO BLAST SETH WITH A CLAYMORE!!! Drew turns back to his psychopath heel persona, and proceeds to BRUTALIZE the Visionary with two more countdown-less Claymore kicks, and for even more vitriol, hits a cash in attempting LA Knight with a kick as well, leaving EVERYONE furious!
Drew explains his actions by saying that in his time away he nearly left WWE, but now he is on a mission to punish those that stole away his stardom and attention after he spent the entire pandemic carrying the Raw brand on his back as champion, and having his moment ripped away from him time and time again over the last three years. Rollins is emblematic of stealing the spotlight, and he needs to humble him to reclaim his spot as the Scottish Warrior. Seth goes into the feud playing up the mind games, claiming that Drew is lucky that his title run happened in front of no one cause all he has done since then is choke over and over again and proven that he couldn't handle it now. The mind games prove to harm Rollins in the end as Drew DEMOLISHES Seth in a very one sided affair minus some comeback spots from Seth. Drew hits a claymore, followed by a stomp of his own, and one more claymore to the back of the head and ends Rollins' run on top.
2: LA Knight(YEAH!)(Royal Rumble 2024)
Drew maintains his grip over the Raw roster through his sadistic means of winning all the while reminding the crowd that he made a hypocrite out of Seth Rollins and sent him packing to Hollywood cause he couldn't handle the loss. He feuds with Sami Zayn, Matt Riddle, even Sheamus in an interbrand feud over the fall, heading into the new year with a fresh face in the now babyface and (hopefully) very over Damian Priest. Drew challenges Priest to remember the beast he had inside of him during his run with the Judgement Day, or else he'll be no different to the younger version of Drew.
At the Rumble, it looks as though Priest might just grit his way to becoming champion, so much so that it takes a kick below the belt preceding a Claymore for Drew to barely retain... But Priest ain't having that shit. He drags Drew outside of the ring and sends him South of Heaven straight through the announcers table! He rolls Drew back into the ring, kendo stick in hand, until WAIT, ITS LA KNIGHT!! Knight rushes down and clobbers Priest with his MITB briefcase, trash talking Drew as he announces his cash in, dodges a Claymore and plants Drew with the BFT to become the NEW CHAMPION, YEAH!!!
3: Damian Priest(Backlash 2024)
Knight changes the pace to an insufferable trash talker heading up Raw, claiming that this year at WrestleMania he will get the "LA Knight moment" that he promised would happen at last year's event, and that there ain't a damn thing anyone can do to stop it... And he backs up his words! He barely escapes the Elimination Chamber with his title in tact, before retaining once again at WrestleMania in a Fatal 4 Way including McIntyre, Priest and the recently returned Seth Rollins after snagging a surefire pinfall victory for Priest and escaping once again.
After this, Priest confronts Knight saying that he's a new star, but his age is against him. He doesn't have as much time as he would like, and that he wants to make a new star making memory for himself. The only way to do that is to take the World Heavyweight Championship at Backlash, returning to Puerto Rico once again after last year's successful event, in a San Juan street fight. Knight agrees to the match stating that there isn't gonna be anything better than gifting Puerto Rico their own "LA Knight moment" at Damian's expense. After a wild match throughout the crowd, Knight tries to walk out on the match... AND BAD BUNNY MAKES A SURPRISE APPEARANCE!!! He nails a Canadian Destroyer on Knight on the outside of the ring, rolls him back into the ring stumbling directly into a South of Heaven through a table!! Priest pins Knight, becoming champion one year after a crushing defeat, and lives forever among his people.
4: GUNTHER(SummerSlam 2024)
Priest is finally a world champion in WWE, and in becoming that he feels the need to up the ante on his matches. With each title defence he becomes more and more reckless, doing crazy spots that pop the crowd but slowly chip away at his physical health. He goes through brutal wars with Ciampa, Sikoa, Dunne, Waller, even his old Judgement Day compatriots in a triple threat ladder match at MITB, but after he is victorious he is confronted by the new rulers of Raw, IMPERIUM. After ending Brock Lesnar's career at WrestleMania and vacating the Intercontinental Championship after doing so, GUNTHER made a promise that before 2024 ends, all of IMPERIUM will be adorned with gold to prove that they are "saving" wrestling. Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci conquer DIY at WrestleMania to become tag team champions, and new member ILJA DRAGUNOV(who joined in fall 2023) takes vacated IC title after it is vacated, keeping it within the group. GUNTHER refers to Priest's antics in his matches as "childish and embarrassing" and that after SummerSlam, Raw will finally have a world champion that other athletes could aspire to have. Priest responds that no matter how broken his body might be, his need to keep living on as champion will push him to be the one to slay the general with an arrow to his heart.
However, GUNTHER proves to be too efficient, too good, and too unstoppable. He picks apart Damian's body as the match goes on, finally finishing him off with a flurry of powerbombs, before locking in a brutal Boston Crab which Priest taps out too. As the show goes off the air, all members stand at the top of the ramp... and Dragunov sneaks one glance at the world title just before the screen goes black.
5: Ilja Dragunov(WrestleMania 41)
Over the next 8 months, the philosophy of GUNTHER and his stablemates slowly becomes more and more vicious. Given Dragunov's infatuation with pain, this is initially a match made in heaven... Until Dragunov loses the IC title to Bronson Reed. GUNTHER takes a peculiar interest to his old rival, and tries to "make him stronger" by dealing out beatings to Ilja every single time he loses a match. Ilja is struggling within himself, coming closer to bigger matches but always failing and having the "weakness" beaten out of him. All the while GUNTHER's over 2 year long unbeaten streak continues, as he goes on to conquer some of his old foes from NXT to make himself stronger like Tyler Bate, Tomasso Ciampa and Pete Dunne. Whenever asked about Ilja challenging, he brushes it off. In order to prove himself worthy, Ilja enters the 2025 men's Royal Rumble from number 1 in an attempt to recreate GUNTHER's incredible performance from 2023. He makes it damn near to the end, tossing out many, getting the crowd behind him... Before the rest of IMPERIUM finally betray him, dragging him over the top rope. The next night on Raw, GUNTHER berates Ilja for his "ego" getting in the way of everything HE has created and done for wrestling. He demands that Ilja take a beating as punishment, and goes to chop him... BUT ILJA CATCHES HIS HAND!! He blasts GUNTHER with a headbutt and attempts to fight back but is overwhelmed by Vinci and Kaiser and absolutely decimated by GUNTHER, to the point that even his comrades are baffled at the severity of it.
Ilja knows what he has to do, and he enters the Elimination Chamber match to get a shot at GUNTHER for WrestleMania, in an attempt to "reclaim his life" after he forgot who he was for so long. GUNTHER is "sickened" and sends Vinci into the chamber match to try and stop Ilja from winning, keeping Kaiser in his corner for his title defence against Dragon Lee! Ilja overcomes the odds and straight up Goldbergs the chamber, ending up eliminating EVERYONE in the match! GUNTHER retains his title and the match is finally set, the trilogy concluder nearly 4 years in the making, GUNTHER finally relents on the final Raw before Mania and says that his loss to Ilja has haunted him ever since it happened, and that his sadistic streak has been all to prepare for his chance to rectify his decisive loss to the man who may just have his number. He claims that he must send Ilja back to his family a broken man, or all his fighting will have been for nothing. Ilja claims he isn't going anywhere unless he takes GUNTHER down with him one last time, and that if he dies in the ring, he'll do it with the World Heavyweight title around his waist.
After a near 40 minute all time classic, both men beating the absolute shit out of each other for their own pride. Ilja climbs the mountain one last time, brutalizing GUNTHER until he can barely stand. He tells Ilja "COME ON, I'M READY FOR IT!" Before taking one last Torpedo Moscow, and Ilja finally defeats GUNTHER, celebrating with his family as the show goes off the air. LONG LIVE THE CZAR.
