2023.06.10 05:39 GodDonovan Mistake in the config files?

Finally found time time to play around with OpenVPN. My friend and I tried to set it up such that he can connect his pc to my pc (My PC as the host, his as the client). Although the console states that he has connected to me successfully, his public IP seems to stay the same and he cannot ping my computer. Pretty sure I did set this up wrong, but I cannot seem to find where I messed up.
I based my config file based on an example one I found online from the OpenVPN forum. Not showing my IP here for obvious reasons. I know despite calling the sever "LanServer", that it is set to "tun". I also made sure to port forward on my router, and added a rule to my firewall.

2023.06.10 05:38 CeFurkan Indie music may get revolutionized with Facebook's new text to music AI model audiocraft

GitHub : https://github.com/facebookresearch/audiocraft
Video tutorial (with examples) : https://youtu.be/v-YpvPkhdO4
Audiocraft is a library for audio processing and generation with deep learning. It features the state-of-the-art EnCodec audio compressor / tokenizer, along with MusicGen, a simple and controllable music generation LM with textual and melodic conditioning.
PDF : https://arxiv.org/pdf/2306.05284.pdf
Abstract
We tackle the task of conditional music generation. We introduce MUSICGEN, a single Language Model (LM) that operates over several streams of compressed discrete music representation, i.e., tokens. Unlike prior work, MUSICGEN is comprised of a single-stage transformer LM together with efficient token interleaving patterns, which eliminates the need for cascading several models, e.g., hierarchically or upsampling. Following this approach, we demonstrate how MUSICGEN can generate high-quality samples, while being conditioned on textual description or melodic features, allowing better controls over the generated output. We conduct extensive empirical evaluation, considering both automatic and human studies, showing the proposed approach is superior to the evaluated baselines on a standard text-to-music benchmark. Through ablation studies, we shed light over the importance of each of the components comprising MUSICGEN.

Generative Fill Not Working, Freshly Installed Photoshop Beta
I just installed the PS Beta using the guide on here and it works great, haven't had a single hiccup yet. However, the Generative Fill option is greyed out regardless of me trying to fix it. I've tried adding my Behance age, making a new CC account, messing with the firewall settings, etc. It just stays greyed out. Really confused. Any help would be very much appreciated.

2023.06.10 05:37 soontorap OneXPlayer 1S - defective controller

I've got a OneXPlayer 1S, the original one, delivered in 2021 during the pandemic (before the SteamDeck!). It is based on i7-1165g7, the OS is Windows 10.
Unfortunately, the main analog controller seems to no longer provide the entire movement range. Specifically, when selecting the right direction, it acts as if it was only going right "a little bit", and no fully,
Unsurprising, this has impact in games. Most notably, all racing games are no longer playable since the vehicle doesn't turn right fully anymore. Many other types of games are impacted, like platformers, which distinguish "walking" from "running" depending on direction range. And unfortunately, these games are exactly the ones I'm most likely playing on the OneXPlayer (for mouse-driven gameplay, I'm more likely going to employ a full PC station). This issue is bad enough to make the OneXPlayer almost useless in portable scenarios.
To mitigate the issue, I tried to calibrate the controller with the Windows calibration settings panel.The calibration tool also makes it possible to report the raw data values generated by the controller. It seems that, for any analog control, the tool reports a range from 0 to 65535. Most analog controls are able to generate the full range, or close to the full range.But on the main analog controller, going right only reaches 50000 max, instead of 65535.
The Windows calibration tool seems to compensate very well, since after calibration, on the calibration test tool, it looks as if the main controller is able again to provide the full range: the cross can reach all sides of the test box.
But it's as if the Windows calibration tool was its own thing, unrelated to games, or ineffective in game. Games don't seem to react to calibration changes.
Has anyone had the same problem with the OneXPlayer 1S controller? Are there known solutions to this problem ?

2023.06.10 05:36 GanacheScared7248 Advice/Tips

Hello everyone! Brand new to this game (avid gamer but never historical strategy), specifically got it on my MacBook instead of my ps5 for this mod (was a huge fan of Game of Thrones Conquest for mobile and this seems like a far superior version). I’ve ran through twice, first as Lord Protector of the Vale as my own character and secondly as a Ned play through. I’m terrible! The game seems very in depth and there’s a lot of mechanics I don’t fully understand/are aware of yet. What are some tips you’d give a brand new player to this game? And how the heck can I stay out of debt and build up a brand new house to take over the realm?

2023.06.10 05:36 Intergalacticio The Big and Dig Update (seedstones/witherstones)

The scale of Minecraft worlds has become immense, making it challenging to create impressive mega builds or expansive mining pits that truly feel "mega."
To address these issues, I propose an update called “The Big Dig” (or "Big and Dig"). This update would introduce various blocks that can grow like a sapling into large, irregular clumps, helping players construct their creations without the game entirely doing it for them. The growth patterns of these blocks should be diverse (and preferably inconvenient in some way) yet somewhat predictable across different materials.
The Big
The Seedstone
These blocks could act as a sort of growth catalyst for miscellaneous blocks. As in you place down the block like a sapling and when toggled with a specific item, grow like a tree into whatever convenient or wacky shapes or properties the developer’s fancy.
To balance out the mechanics of these seedstones they should require more blocks put into them than they put out. E.g. 64 stone creates 1 stone seedstone, 1 stone seedstone creates 16 stone (as a semi-randomized clump). And a special property that this specific seedstone could have is the chance to generate infested stone among the normal stone, giving players the chance to farm silverfish.
I think this idea could potentially be a very, very powerful game mechanic, as it could;
Ways I think this mechanic should be constrained;
The Dig
The Witherstone
This block does the opposite of the seedstone rather than helping players place blocks, it helps them remove blocks.
When placed, the Witherstone emits a decay aura in a certain radius around it. Any blocks within this radius gradually deteriorate over time, starting from the closest blocks to the Witherstone and spreading outwards (or just deteriorates all the block in the radius at an equal rate). The decayed blocks turn into crumbling versions with a distinct visual appearance (some blocks should be immune to this). If left to decay for an unlimited time the blocks will disintegrate into nothing, but if the fuel is timed to run out correctly the blocks should stay in a frozen crumbled state (unless the wither stone is destroyed) with a greatly reduced time to mine. To keep it simple most blocks should be clumped up into certain specific deterioration times e.g. stones, soils, woods, etc. To allow for use in more than just mining.
I think this idea could potentially be a very, very powerful game mechanic, as it could;
Ways I think this mechanic should be constrained;
And like I wrote before;
So what do you think? Do you think this would break minecraft or better it?

2023.06.10 05:36 TheLosslessPlug For my final and true moving back to the Faith

I was baptized and chrismated in April this year, having tried to lead as Christian and Orthodox of a life as I could since December 2020. However, every time I’ve tried to truly commit myself and my life to Christ, I’ve always fallen away from it into sheer sin. This most recent time I’ve started to go out partying with friends again, and smoked a cigar when I got home, which I deeply regret. I’m neglecting exercise, hygiene some nights, and trying to run myself into the ground, only to try to repair myself every morning, try to adopt a vigorous prayer routine, which, every single time, it reaches a point where I can’t even say Our Father without feeling pain and resentment. I never feel peace when I pray, primarily dread and fear. I can’t just talk to my priest or do confession because in the Armenian Church we do general absolution and I’m very shy with the people in my church and my priest as well. I feel like a lost cause, and the whole idea that Christ loves us no matter what is beginning to feel uncomfortable and painful to me. Why would Christ ever love someone so wretched as me, who doesn’t commit to him, sins every day, and leads a life far from his lovingkindness? I just hope you can pray to the Lord and all manner of Saints for me that I might, once and for all, actually feel Jesus to be real and present in my life, and that I might serve him without hurting myself, Him, or anyone or anything around me ever again. I’m tired of making the mistakes that I do, and I just want to really love God. Please, brothers and sisters, pray for me. In the name of the All-Holy Trinity, Amen.

2023.06.10 05:35 Eggowafflez5657 Funny LP related story that happened to me today

So I was doing yard work earlier today and I decided to listen to some LP to motivate me to work since I’m a lazy slob and can’t do work on my own without some motivation lol. Well anyway I decided to listen to HT since I hadn’t listened to that in a pretty long time and when I got to Runaway right in the middle of the song right before the bridge something weird happened.
Outta nowhere the song switched to Cure for the Itch for some reason and I was super confused cuz it wasn’t even like the next track that would come up so I knew I didn’t somehow accidentally skip it even tho I wasn’t holding my phone lol.
Well anyway during my confusion I finally realized which song was playing when I heard: MR HAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHNN lol.
I think it’s even funnier considering I kinda meme this line a lot so yea that was just a little funny LP related thing that happened to me today.
What is one of ur funny LP related stories?

2023.06.10 05:35 olivawDaneel Looking for a book similar to Vagabond, the manga

I recently finished reading Vagabond. It's a fictionalized version of Miyamoto Musashi's journey (the legendary Japanese swordsman who wrote The Book of Five Rings)
I'm not a big manga guy, I've read a few here and there. But I really want to read a book that made me feel the same way Vagabond did.
For those unfamiliar with it, it's about Musashi's journey of self discovery and understanding himself, the human condition, his goals, ambitions, etc. It is deeply spiritual at times and incredibly motivating.
I need something that is similarly plot driven but also spiritual or philosophical in some way. Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse seems like a good example. I haven't read it myself but from what I know about it, it seems like one. It's on my list already, but I don't find the plot to be as appealing as a ronin taking on 70 disciples in one fight and realizing the futility of his ambitions.
So a book that is driven by a fictional narrative, or something seemingly too incredible to be real, but also philosophical.
