2023.06.10 05:49 Quirky-Seesaw8394 [Skyrush, Hersheypark]. First big coaster in 6+ years.

Over the past 15+ years the only park I've been to annually has been Knoebel's, with an exception for King's Dominion and Six Flags Great Adventure once each between 8-10 years ago. Due to scheduling, Covid and what not, last year was the first time I was able to get back to Knoebel's in 6 or more years. It was also the first time my daughter (4) was able to go to a park. After a successful day there, I decided to look into season passes for more local parks. We eventually settled on Hersheypark.
April finally arrives and I take the little one to the park. Early in the day it was easy to catch glimpses of Candymonium and Skyrush doing their runs along the track, and I didn't really pay much attention to the lift hill on Skyrush. Then of course there's the distinct sound of Great Bear. Whenever we heard the 'roar' we'd either watch it if we were close enough, or comment that Great Bear is going. One of my goals of the first trip was to test the waters with how she'd do on coasters. She loved Cocoa Cruiser, so it was time to move up to Trailblazer. She also had a blast on that, so I'm looking forward to when she's bigger for more rides. Next up would be sooperdooplooper for her first inversion!
I forget where exactly we were in the park when I finally caught a glimpse of Skyrush going up the lift hill. I was both fascinated and unsure of what I'd seen, so I made it a point to watch the whole process going up. Damn, that thing is flying up the hill! From there it jumped up on my 'can't wait to ride that scale'. Fast forward to last week and our 6th trip to the park (so far just the two of us), and relatives say they'll be at the park the same day. Towards the end of the day I finally got my first "big" ride of the season in with the Hershey Triple Tower while the little ones were on the nearby kiddie rides (not unsupervised). I'd forgotten what a rush the upward launch can be since the last one I remember being on was Dominator at Dorney Park probably pushing 20 years. We got to another small kiddie area and checked the lines for a couple big rides and saw Skyrush had under a 5 minute wait. I was excited. First coaster in years. My last one would've been Phoenix, Twister, or Impulse at Knoebel's. I thought maybe Flying Turns briefly, but I've only been on it once and I'm pretty sure it was the year or two after it first "opened". We hop in line, picking something with a minimal wait. 6th row, I grabbed the right wing. Here we go. It starts going and I'm absolutely loving that lift hill. We're to the top in no time and as we crest the hill, I remember one of my favorite things about coasters and that I'd forgotten what it's like to hit that first drop. The rest of the ride was a blur but I remember some bits of airtime, and obviously some twists and turns. Can't wait to do that again!
Finally the whole family is able to go in a couple days so I'm excited to finally get to ride the coasters throughout the day. My daughter also loves watching Storm Runner launch and finds it hilarious, so I'm sure she'll enjoy watching me go. I'm hoping to get to ride most at least once with careful, early planning but we'll see how the day goes. I'm going to skip sooperdooperlooper and Comet for now and just wait until the little one is tall enough, though I may test out Comet prior at some point just to check the roughness. Anyhow, thanks for stopping by and potentially reading this probably too long post.
TLDR: Title, and very little variety of park visits over nearly two decades. Fascinated by the Skyrush lift hill. Finally got a ride in after several visits to the park. Going again in a couple days where I should be able to get big rides/ coasters in.

2023.06.10 05:27 Comprehensive-Sea-63 UPDATE: Am I making the right choice hospitalizing my daughter?

Link to original:
I’ve honestly been scared to update because I’ve been scared of jinxing it.
I’ll cut to the chase. My daughter has been home for a week and a half and she is doing amazing.
For context, we adopted our daughter out of a residential treatment center where she had been staying for a year and a half. When she arrived at hour home, she was heavily medicated. For the past two years we’ve been trying to work with her doctors to find a balance of medications with lower doses and fewer meds because a lot of the meds she was on have pretty serious side effects. Every time we tried to lower a dose or taper her off a med, it backfired.
The end result is that my daughter was severely overmedicated, which is something we’ve been worried about for a long time. We learned that the Prozac has been causing the suicidal and homicidal ideation and paranoia. We also learned that the Prozac has been causing her to hear voices. My husband and I had never picked up that this was happening but in hindsight I realize there were warning signs from the conflicts with her classmates.
The doctors reduced her dose of Prozac from 60mg to 20mg. THEY COMPLETELY TOOK HER OFF HER DAYTIME ADHD MED. They diagnosed her with major depressive disorder with psychotic features and increased her antipsychotic, which is terrifying to me because her bio mom does have schizophrenia. But…
Around day 5 when I talked to my daughter on the phone I could just hear how well she was doing in her voice. We just had a normal conversation as a family. And I realized, we’ve never just talked like this before. As soon as we hung up, my 13yo says “she sounds really good” and my 17yo says “she sounds HAPPY.”
She has been home for a week and a half and she is doing amazing. The first few days were a roller coaster. We worked with her therapist to make sure we were supportive and helped her acclimate back home. I slept in her room or she slept in our room for the first week, and she has graduated to sleeping on the couch just outside our room. She had a lot of nightmares the first few nights and was very high strung because the experience triggered her abandonment trauma. However this week she felt good enough to go to ymca and she has done so well. Not a single behavioral episode. I just just see it in her eyes and demeanor. She is calmer, focusing better, happier, her overall cognitive functioning is better (she can even read better), and she is able to participate in conversations. She’s still her silly goofy self, and she’s still a kid. But her tantrums now seem more like normal little kid tantrums with whining and crying instead of screaming, cussing, and punching. This has been just about the best week of my life seeing her doing so well.
I’m so thankful that the doctors considered that she might be overmedicated and took her off meds instead of piling on even more powerful meds.
This has also triggered a lot of old trauma in me. I have a brother who died by suicide. I’ve been having panic attacks and crying spells and I realized a lot of this was from my own trauma being triggered, so I am back in therapy as well.
Overall it was a horrible experience but I’m so thankful that my daughter is well. I received a lot of peace when I called her regular therapist, and her therapist told us we did the right thing and that she would have advised us to have our daughter admitted if we had spoken to her about it beforehand. To be clear, the people advising me to admit her weren’t other parents of neurotypical kids. It was the child psychiatrist, the social worker, her pediatrician, and the medical staff at the hospital who all advised us to admit her. I’m thankful that my husband was such a rock and that our family held strong and our little girl seems to be so much happier.

2023.06.10 05:25 RaxteranOG [Hersheypark] 6/9/2023, Confirming the Cat's #1

First ever trip report for me, only just getting back into coasters after regular life got in the way for a decade and I decided to start with a season pass to my home park (this isn't my first visit of the season, but probably the best so far). Today's chilly weather + being a Friday in June meant relatively short lines and I took full advantage to nab multi-rides on some favorites and to grab my last 2 credits in the park.

Wildcat's Revenge x5: Got to ride this in the passholder preview event and was pretty hype on it then, but didn't want to say too much after only one ride. Now that I'm up to 6 I can confidently say this is my new favorite in the park. The relentless pacing packaged with the great variety of forces, glass smooth ride, comfortable restraints, and solid ops makes it really tough for Skyrush to compete, despite the soft spot in my heart for it. Love how this thing gets even more wild as the day goes on, too, even on a chilly rainy day. Only downsides today were that it was down for extended inspections in the morning and didn't start running until about 12:30, and it did have one breakdown in the afternoon and some folks were stuck on the brake run for ~15 minutes. For only being open a week, it's to be expected. 10/10
Skyrush x2: Was absolutely flying today despite the weather, almost felt like it was trying its best to keep the top spot. I actually grayed out a bit which hasn't happened since the first few times I rode it. Still easily #2 in the park and I will always make time for it. Closed due to rain later in the day and as far as I could tell it never reopened. 9.5/10
Storm Runner x4: The launch and flying snake dive are still some of my all-time favorite experiences and I can easily keep getting back in line when it's running well. This also closed for the rain today, but fortunately I was nearby when they ran the first test train to reopen it. At that point in the evening no one was around so it was a walk-on. Yes, please! 9/10
Candymonium x2: Unusual two rides in one day. Not many folks showed up for sweet start so I was able to get on twice first thing in the morning. I love this ride and I always feel bad that it barely makes my top 5 in the park. It's the best at what got me into coasters in the first place - smooth endless floater airtime and a fantastic first drop. I really wish they'd figure out a way to improve ops here so that I could get more rides on a normal day, but in fair weather it's averaging a 2 hour wait. 8.5/10
Fahrenheit: Another solid ride that is plagued by long lines. Even today I only did it once (and mostly because it was still running in the rain). 7.5/10
Lightning Racer x2: I did both sides as is tradition, even though Thunder is better. Still the best woodies in the park and fantastic rides on their own merit, though they're definitely a lot rougher than they were when I was a kid. Hoping we might see a full retrack at some point to preserve this awesome layout for the long term. 8/10
Great Bear: They were only running one train today which took me by surprise because they've had two going for all but my very first visit this season. Still a fantastic ride, the first drop and the terrain segment by the river and SDL are near and dear to me. This used to be my favorite in the park long, long ago and I still give it the respect it deserves. 7.5/10
Jolly Rancher Remix: Today was my first time riding this, including when it was Sidewinder. The line always seemed too long and the ride seemed too lame. Today's short lines gave me an opportunity to find out that it's not a bad ride. The new theming probably helps, but even the ride experience is certainly worth waiting 15-20 minutes for. Pleasantly surprised and I can check Vekoma boomerang off my list. 6/10
Wild Mouse: This is another one I always skipped, for the same reasons as Jolly Rancher, but it's a great little ride and I'm glad that I got it in as I understand they're in the process of trying to sell it. 5.5/10

Did Not Ride Today:
Laff Trakk 6/10
Comet 7/10
SooperDooperLooper 5.5/10
Trailblazer 6/10

2023.06.10 05:05 389Tman389 [Fun Spot Atlanta] 9 June 2023 Trip Report

[Fun Spot Atlanta] 9 June 2023 Trip Report
Today I woke up at dawn to fly across the country to Atlanta and start this years road trip. Got a few warmups with the comically fast and janky Sky Trains at the Dallas and Atlanta airports before heading straight to Fun Spot Atlanta. The approach to the park is incredible, there’s nothing but trees all around until BAM a 15 million dollar RMC pops out in the distance.
Parking was free today which was nice, so within 10 minutes of arriving we were already on ArieForce One (x6). The ops were incredibly slow with one train and the long list of tasks the 2 ride ops had to handle, but it didn’t matter and we marathoned the crap out of it! If anything the break was necessary so our shins didn’t get cut off from the crazy airtime.
ArieForce One is definitely a front row ride in all aspects other than the first drop. The airtime, sense of speed, and inversions hit much harder with a higher quality in the front. Coming into the Raven truss dive you get ejected out of our seat, and the massive over bank lifts you up with a decent intensity as well. I was surprised at how insane the first zero g roll over the arcade was and how manageable the ending airtime hills were.
To give my shins a break we went and rode the lovable E&F Miler jank that was Hurricane (x1) and Sea Serpent (x1). Hurricane had some super comfortable seats but the sharp turns were a little painful on the legs. They may be old but those E&F hurricane rides are a lot of fun. Sea Serpent was most interesting to me because they have the ride raised on some wood pallets which looks pretty strange to me.
It’s incredible to me that you can marathon a coaster as good as ArieForce (until your shins can’t take it anymore) so easily. There were quite a few people at the park on a Friday night as well so all the coasters were full every time they were run. I really hope this works out for Fun Spot. I’m rooting for them. Anyways next up is a first visit to SFOG after an incredible start to the trip

2023.06.10 04:51 bigmagnumnitro What's the worst thing that you ever witnessed at a theme park?

One time I was at Kings Domain and I was next in line for ride called fright and fear in a freakin SPACESHIP and the train came back with no one in it and they were completely vaporized Roller coasters are dangerous and should be banned but rode it and made it just fine but I almost died too can't believe they still have that ride it's almost as dangerous as the roller soaker at hershyen park

2023.06.10 04:34 rymaysta Coasters (in my opinion) Ranked

I did ride the kiddie roller coasters as this is my home park, and Flying Ace Ariel Chase was my first roller coaster!
14 Great Pumpkin Coaster, very jittery and odd, doesn't look fun. I might've liked it when I was a kid, but I can't remember.
13 Flying Ace Ariel Chase, this ride was terrifying for me when I rode it 10 some odd years ago. Looking back it looks kinda rough and uncomfortable.
12 Woodstock Express, surprisingly smooth and kinda good airtime. I like this one.
11 Invertigo, impossible to avoid a headache on this bad boy. The anxiety going up the first lift is fun, but the cobra roll is seriously brutal if you don't prepare. Still this one's kind of fun and I wish I could justify putting it higher.
10 Adventure Express, dull layout but I like the theming on this one. I wish it did more but it's old Arrow so if it tried to do much more it would probably hurt.
9 Backlot Stunt Coaster, painful hard seats, so the helix seriously hurts, but the launch is decent and I love these clones. It's nothing too special though.
8 Racer, I wish this thing was smooth, the airtime is good, but the jackhammering is not very fun.
7 The Bat, I'm glad they rethemed this to the bat. It's very fun and you feel the speed and G's on this ride. I always love walking over to it because it's like a walk through the woods, and the view from the lift is pretty good.
6 Flight of Fear, I love the launch into the dark. The actual ride is getting pretty rough but it's just a lap bar so it's very easy to take. If you're riding with someone, make sure to watch that you don't smack them, or shoulder check them like I did to my girlfriend recently.
5 The Beast, this ride is so cool. Perfect theme, even if it is minimal, and it's so scenic just going through the woods. The way it interacts with the hills and tunnels makes me so happy. The final tunnel on the helix sounds like a screech and it's so cool. Unforgettable night ride on this thing. It's like no other.
4 Orion, not the giga we wanted, or even a giga, but it's what we got. There are a couple good parts but to me Orion is just a worse, taller Diamondback. Drop is great though.
3 Banshee, if only this ride didn't have the vest restraints, this might be my favorite inverted roller coaster, maybe even best in the park. Banshee is so forceful and a really good ride to bring someone new to roller coasters on. It's getting a little shaky but the good is much greater than the bad. I just can't get over how tight the vests get on me, and I'm 140 lbs.
2 Diamondback, even after 14 years, this ride still kicks. The drop in the back row is insane and if you lift your legs up a little to get some extra room, you get so much floater airtime. Not crazy intense but it's pretty smooth and so much fun. Better version than Orion.
1Mystic Timbers, so aggressive with a great restraint. So much airtime and incredibly smooth. I haven't met one person who got off this disappointed. I love this ride, even with the shed being a little disappointing.
Overall, this park is fantastic, and the ride lineup is top tier. I am so glad to call this my home park and I can't wait to see what they do next. I'm close to calling it the best park in Ohio, but the top rides just don't quite match up to Cedar Point's Maverick, Steel Vengeance, Millenium Force.

2023.06.10 04:08 richi-carmen Aspects influencing the outcome of timber pellet mill

Aspects influencing the outcome of timber pellet mill
Wood pellet mill is an important tools in manufacturing, so in the manufacturing process, what variables can influence the result of wood pellet mill devices?
1. Several elements influencing the result of timber pellet device
In the adhering to, Richi Device will present to you several major elements that affect the result of sawdust wood pellet mill:
( 1) Grease. Add 0.5% to 1% of oil, which is beneficial to reduce the wear of timber pellet device parts, as well as make the pellets conveniently travel through the die holes and boost the outcome. Keep in mind, however, that when the boost in oil goes beyond 2%, it will make the pellets challenging to form. As a result, when including grease, 30% of the overall quantity should be added at the mixer, and also 70% of the complete quantity should be sprayed at the wood pellet mill.
( 2) Starch. Grains have a high starch web content as well as are very easy to granulate at heat and high dampness. Consequently, the appeased and solidified dampness is in between 16% and 18%, the temperature level is above 80 ℃, and the outcome of the pellet maker is likewise high. If the grain is currently grown before conditioning (eg drying corn), the output of the wood pellet mill will certainly be lowered.
( 3) Thermal sensitivity. The thickness of lactose as well as whey powder in the material boosts after home heating, which helps to boost the output. However, if the temperature level exceeds 60 ℃, it is easy to appear coking, which will block the die hole and affect the outcome.
( 4) Crude fiber. Ideal unrefined fiber ( web content 3% ~ 5%) contributes to the bonding of pellets and enhances the granulation output, but when the content of unrefined fiber goes beyond 10%, the cohesiveness of the product will certainly become worse, impacting the hardness of the pellets and creating price, while boosting mechanical wear and decreasing wood pellet mill output.
( 5) Product moisture. When the humidity of the product is too high, it is hard to solidify the material and also it is simple to create the product to slip between the internal wall of the ring die and the pressing roller, leading to the clog of the ring die hole. Usually speaking, the moisture material of the product should be listed below 13% before conditioning.
( 6) Minerals. Not natural products have almost no communication and poor granulation efficiency. For that reason, when the inorganic web content in the material is too high, a percentage of binder is usually contributed to the product to improve the granulation feature as well as boost the outcome of the wood pellet mill.

The above are the significant factors that affect the result of timber pellet mill, I hope it can be useful to everybody! Richi Equipment is a biomass straw rice husk timber pellet plant tools maker concentrating on the wood pellet mills offer for sale, if you want our biomass and also wood pellet mill jobs and options, please leave your needs and e-mail, WhatsApp and various other call details, our sales personnel will give expert solutions and equivalent product pictures, video clips and quotations.
2. The process of biomass gas:
Biomass fuel is based on farming and forestry residues as the major basic material. After assembly line equipment such as slicers, pulverizers, clothes dryers, timber pellet mill, coolers, balers, etc, it is finally made into shaped eco-friendly fuels with high calorific worth and also adequate burning. It is a clean and also low-carbon renewable energy.
As a fuel for biomass burning equipment such as biomass heaters as well as biomass boilers, it has a lengthy burning time, improved burning, high heating system temperature, and is economical as well as environmentally friendly. It is a top quality environmentally friendly fuel to change standard fossil power.
3. The growth of wood pellet machine constantly adheres to the plan
Biomass pellet fuel, a new item developed by wood pellet mill maker manufacturers, is a renewable new power source with absolutely no carbon emissions, so my nation strongly sustains the promo of biomass fuel pellets. Managers who can see through the marketplace have actually switched over to the biomass pellet machine industry. The advancement of timber pellet mill has actually constantly adhered to the plan.
Just recently, the biomass wood pellet mill device market has actually continued to be popular. It is estimated that the size of the biomass fuel pellet market will remain to boost in the future. The continual boost in the biomass fuel pellet market is primarily based upon the following factors :.
( 1) As a result of the liberalization of energy-saving as well as environmental protection policies, the number of users who switched to the wood pellet mill sector has actually enhanced, causing the expansion of the market scale.
( 2) Because of the substantial use of biomass timber pellet mill, it is in line with my country's brand-new environmental protection and also power saving plan, and has no demands for the choice of resources. It is beneficial to plants such as corn straw, wheat straw, rice husk straw, bean husk straw as well as various other waste. As a resources, the cost of resources is reasonably low.
What brings in new individuals is that biomass fuel pellets can change some non-renewable energy sources. With an increasing number of customers, the market size of biomass timber pellet mill will certainly continue to increase.

4. The market prospect of biomass wood pellet mill machine.
Recently, the state has actually strongly advocated and also supported the growth and also usage of bioenergy. 2023.06.10 04:05 biggiemcjuicy Is Hollywood Studios worth going to if you’re scared of rollercoasters?

For context I’m going to spend my 21st birthday at Disney this year, I’ve only been one other time and we only did 2 park days, and that’s all we’re doing this year too. Last time I did MK and Epcot. This time we’re doing MK first, and then an undecided second park. Normally you’d think I’d choose to go to Epcot because I’m turning 21, but I didn’t particularly enjoy the park because it’s lack of rides, and I was hot and tired. Im considering Hollywood studios but there’s an issue: I’m terrified of thrill rides. I can handle a small drop or two, but I can’t do roller coasters. MK’s level of rides is about all I can handle. We also considered animal kingdom, but I was worried we’d get bored there, because it doesn’t look like there’s too much to do. What would you all recommend for a park that has lots to do and is suitable for someone who can’t handle a lot of thrill rides?

2023.06.10 03:54 Ok_Drawing7973 Please, help, my bipolar SO wants a divorce and I don't know if its bipolar or her

My bipolar 2 wife and I have been together for 14 years, she was diagnose a few years ago and she's been on meds for 9 years, which she takes regularly, doesn't drink, doesn't do drugs.
Generally she's a wonderful woman, sweet, kind, caring, giving, just amazing.
We've been through the roller coaster of breakups in the past, but it's been many years since the last.
Since getting married and living together she seemed stable, she was depressed constantly because she missed her home country, we moved to London because of my job 4 years ago, and she does constantly complain about how much she hates it here, she's from Japan. But other than that we were happy and laughed, went out and made the most of life.
We just had a baby 6 months ago, that we had wanted for so long, via surrogate given her mental state, we didn't want to jeopardize her mental health. We have a nanny that helps out several days a week, and when not working I'm with her and the baby, we have a lot of help with the baby and I try to make her life as easy as possible. I thought we were happy, she went back to Japan last year before the baby came and she stayed several months, knowing it would be harder once the baby was here, and since , when she came back she seemed off, she seemed more depressed, more homesick, more irritable and so on.
We had a huge fight a month ago, and I've known, I've known for several months that she wants to go back to her old life when she was younger of just being carefree, do drugs, travel, party and not take her meds.
She handed me the divorce papers a week ago, and I love her beyond words. I refuse to sign them because I think it could be a bipolar swing. She said she'll be leaving whether I signed them or not, that she doesn't want to be a mother and a wife. That she just can't handle a conventional life, that it was never for her, that she tried, but she just can't take it, and wants to be a gypsy again. She was a wild child when I met her, and she continued with her wild life until we got married, 6 years ago.
I'm broken and shattered here, we have a child, we have a normal life and we were mostly happy, we rarely fought, we laughed, and I don't know how she just wants out, she's been in therapy for several years, and she says and she's discovered recently in therapy for several months that she just doesnt want this "normal" lifestyle. She thought the baby could glue her broken pieces but it didn't. And she just wants out and do whatever she wants to do.

I had never seen her so determined, so sure about her decision, so ready. I don't know if its the bipolar or actually her, and this is actually the end, and I'll be a single father of a 6-month-old baby.
Please help. Any advice. What do I do.

2023.06.10 03:53 inner_demons_ Just A Sad Song Stoned Swiftie here…

So the roller coaster ride that was getting eras tickets for the Detroit night 2 show… well we all know the pain, it was real. I was lucky enough to get a presale code, but not lucky enough to get tickets :(
Im in canada, so figured i would wait it out until she came here.
10 days before the concert i get another text from the same number i received the initial presale code. They had a few tickets released and so i went on there and holy crap… i got lower bowl, great view, row 8 tickets for only 325CAD/ticket alll in!
I was so excited, but then after a few days i realized my passport was about to expire. I went to get an urgent passport renewal with no issues. They said ill have it thursday and the concert is saturday (tomorrow).
Ive recently taken over my mother’s business, and this week was unreal. Just a hard week at work and thursday i just couldnt get there. Today, somehow the day slipped away and then I was stuck in a different town and unable to get back in time before it closed to get my passport
Now im just smoking a joint, crying, listening to sad songs by taylor, because i just couldnt get my shit together.

I dont know if anyone will even read this long winded story, but it felt good to release that.

2023.06.10 03:45 Suspicious_Tension37 Seeking Advice on Transitioning to MSP Environment from Helpdesk Role

Hey everyone,
I recently accepted a Helpdesk position, and I'm excited about this new opportunity. Here's a quick rundown of my previous experience:
While my IT journey has been a bit of a roller coaster, I've realized that MSP positions can be quite lucrative. However, I've also come to understand that MSPs often require prior MSP experience. So, as a Helpdesk technician, I'm wondering how I can position myself for future opportunities in the MSP environment.
My main question is: Will my Helpdesk job provide me with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in an MSP role down the line? I'm eager to gather insights from those with relevant experience and any advice on how to make this transition smoother.
Thank you all in advance for your guidance and input!

2023.06.10 03:34 Calypsosong I'm leaving the Christian faith and my family is gone. I need help.

Part of telling them was to cut ties with them. It's been a codependent, oppressive roller coaster where the better parts of myself were snuffed. I'm dealing with guilt, loss, and aloneness. I feel like my life was a lie. This is my fourth attempt to leave, and it is the final one as a 28 year old woman. The church itself has been harmful to my mental health and has inflicted pain rather than help. That "comfort" they always spoke about was never such. My mother is devastated, but due to her marriage to my step-father, a pastor, this affiliation looks pretty bad for her. Such a hypocritical belief set with oppressive standards and exclusive, VIP-only members.
I'm just alone. Anyone who's been through this, please give me your story.

2023.06.10 03:30 JennyOsRows Any primary care/hematologist recs for NOVA or Washington DC

Hi all - if anyone has doc recommendations for NOVA or Washington DC I'm desperate to find a doctor who won't just tell me to pull off of iron supplements once I get my ferritin into low 20s.
I've been on a supplement roller coaster for three years now due to ferritin deficiency (w/o anemia, my CBC, hemoglobin always just fine!). Anytime I get up into the 20s, I start to exercise even just a little bit and within 4 months my levels crash again. Only once when my ferritin was down to 4 was I able to get an infusion.
